Description:

Hello,

My name is Nellie and I wanted to write a little about myself to help you decide to fill out an application for me.

To begin, I need to be in a calm, relatively quiet environment as I was not in the best home before I connected with A Second Chance Rescue so loud/angry tones cause me to run and hide. I tend to come off timid for the first few weeks of being in a new home but once I become comfortable I have A LOT of energy that needs to be expressed.  My foster mommy thinks agility would work well for me or to be with someone who likes to exercise.   I like to be around you while you are home and you might as well know now that I will be lying in your arms while we watch TV. I cannot help myself! Who doesn’t love to cuddle??  I’m totally OK with living with another dog who is more my size; the smaller ones tend to annoy me (I know you are thinking, “me too!!”)  and I haven’t lived with any cats so I would need to see about that situation.

I have a few commands under my belt… “kennel up” which means to go in my crate;  “release” which means I can leave my crate and “get busy” which means go to the bathroom.  I am one smart dog wouldn’t you say : ) I am housetrained which makes me a better choice than puppies that will poop and pee all over your house! So far I have gotten a little “woozy” in the car and have thrown up once. I’m thinking a little Dramamine and more time in the car might be the answer.  Overall, I am a very sweet, VERY loving dog that needs to find a “forever home”.  Please fill out an application and my awesome adoption counselor will call you to tell you more about me and hopefully I can meet you very soon.

Love,

Nellie
