Animal Success Stories

As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek!  Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes.  We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families.  If you’ve adopted a dog or cat from us, please share your story!  Success Stories and pictures can be sent to adoptions@asecondchancerescue.org.

Uuma

We absolutely are thrilled with our adoption choice. She is all that and a bag of chips...by the way we adjusted her name slightly, she is now known as Luna and we are over the moon with her.

Thanks to Lisa and Luna's foster mom, Danielle! What wonderful, kind souls you have.

Urban
Urban

Formerly Urban now "Cody". Cody was the last one of his litter left without a home and with two male faces smooshed together "cody and my boyfriend" saying PLEAASSEEEE, I gave in. We absolutely adore Cody, and all want to thank his foster parent/s for taking such good care of him. He comes when you call him and sits right down next to you! He is getting huge, his coast has now changed to his moms curls, and he went from all chocaolate brown, to some multi colors under his tail and on his back, and the rest of him his lightening up as well. This is Cody's best friend Tiny who we found outside our door on christmas. Thank you to all of you for all the work and effort you put into saving these wonderful beautiful animals!

Unger

We all love her! We named her Lilly. She has been a tremendous blessing to your family. Thank you for organization and allowing us to adopt Lilly! God bless you, Ed

Ulla

Hei all. Attached, please find a few pictures of Friidu (former Ulla)! She is 3,5 months old now and almost doubled her weight in four and a half weeks! She's not a small baby anymore.... (She weighs 7,5kg now). She already has 'the grown-up fur in the back'! Friidu is flying to Finland with us for summer - we are beginning crate training, the crate should arrive on Friday. She will have plenty of fresh air and lots and lots of woods to run and explore! By the way - any tips how to teach her not to bite or jump against people? We do know how to teach to DO things, it's much more difficult to teach NOT to do something... We really do enjoy having Friidu, she's a pleasure. Thank you! Nina and the boys

Good morning, Abby (Ungo) is adjusting very well. She has become fully crate trained, thank god, and is now sleeping through the night! She is an amazing addition and her and the cat's routine battles are becoming family lore. Thank you so much. The McManus Family
