Success Stories

As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek! Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes. We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families. Xena Warrior Princess

Hi Kathy, I'm sorry for taking so long to get back to you. Xena is doing fantastic!! She is the sweetest little dog and the perfect addition to our family. She loves playing with the other doggies, going for long walks and her favorite thing is just to cuddle next to you. Attached are two pictures of her so that you can see how she has changed. Thank you and A Second Chance for bringing this Princess into our lives. You guys do a phenomenal job giving these animals "A Second Chance" and finding them new forever homes. Hi Kathy, Xaria is wonderful! She's extremely loving, loyal and full of energy. She loves playing with my sister's rat terrier Tiki as well as with all other pooches. She does seem to suffer from separation anxiety but it's been getting better of late. Pictures to follow. Thanks, Marc

Palmer [on right] has been with us just about a month and he is starting to grow into his “big paws." Palmer has brought joy not only into our lives, but has become best friends with Pete, our 3 year old lab mix, who had been sad since April when our oldest dog passed away. Pete and Palmer love to run around the yard and play tug-o-war with their toys. After a long day, Palmer crashes on his NY Giants blanket and takes a nap on the couch.
