Animal Success Stories

As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek!  Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes.  We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families.  If you’ve adopted a dog or cat from us, please share your story!  Success Stories and pictures can be sent to adoptions@asecondchancerescue.org.

Voliny

Voliny name has changed to Candela (which means fire) because she is non stop active. But we are so please with her she has turn out to be very smart everything I tell her in spanish she does, Oh yes she has learned Spanish besides English. She does alot of things to make us laughs. She spends time with me and my parents and my father and mom are crazy about her, because my dad had a little chiwawa that die last year of a stroke. She has borught alot of Joy in our lives. So thank you so much. Take care, Marena

Alluetta
Alluetta

Her name is now Bugle Ann. Bugle Ann is the name of a Fox Hound in a 1936 Movie. She sits, lays down, shakes both paws, does circles, and sits up on command. She is doing an amazing job with Crate Training and we love her. She brings joy to every day. She has also learned to sit when entering and exiting doorways. She loves her Puppy Playgroup at Animal House of Distinction and she will start school soon. So safe to say she is loved, and appreciated. Thank you! Leslie Kay Drury

Yoko

Hello Kathy, Sorry for the late response! Yoko (Sakura) is doing great! She's gotten so big! She is super friendly, always happy, and loves her new home. She gets along with her new siblings and they are all inseparable. I attached a few pictures to this email so you can see how happy she is and how big she's gotten. We love her so much and we are glad A Second Chance Rescue gave us the opportunity to have her in our lives. Thank you for checking on her and for keeping in touch. Daysel & Johnathan Matos.

Rudye

Hi secondchancerescue, Rudye aka Aiden is doing great is is getting big. He is now outdoor trained he loves to go outside to play. He loves to play with the cats. He knows how to sit and we are learning other commands. Everything is going great! Thankyou for everything Kathy --

Crimson
Crimson

Kathy, I am writing this as a follow up on Crimson (now Vespa). She is doing great! She is one of the sweetest dogs I have ever known. She is great with other dogs and cats and she is great with kids. Her temperament is so good that we decided to begin training her to be a service dog for those with PTSD. She is learning basic obedience very quickly and she loves exploring the world unrestricted as a service dog. When she is not in training she is snuggling with us. She just loves to sleep and snuggle. We also get her out quite a bit to run in the park... being a Italian Greyhound mix, that girl can move! So thank you for saving her life! She is a wonderful little girl and we are thrilled to have her. Sincerely, Brent Sudeck and Denise Fraile
