Animal Success Stories

As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek!  Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes.  We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families.  If you’ve adopted a dog or cat from us, please share your story!  Success Stories and pictures can be sent to adoptions@asecondchancerescue.org.

Mork

Hi Second Chance! Mork and our family are doing wonderful! We have renamed him, Darwin, which he hasn't protested against. :) He has seemed to adjusted very quickly and is growing even faster . He is about 24 pounds now (he was only 13 when we adopted him just 7 weeks ago) We have loved every minute with him and couldn't have asked for a sweeter puppy. He is enrolled in obedience training right now and has learned the basic commands but still has all of his puppy energy. My husband and I love him so much and are so happy we were able to add to our little family. Thank you so much for all of your hard work and continued dedication to finding hundreds of homes for puppies just like our Darwin. (Mork). There are some attached pictures for you as well. Thank you again! Anthony & Maureen

Kathy: We named him Pushkin, and he is doing well. He is very active and playful, and he appears to have relaxed into our family. My girls absolutely adore him. John

Chief
Chief

Hey Second Chance Family, Just wanted to let you know that all is well with Chief. He has adjusted really well to his new home and family. He is fully house trained and has had no accidents. He is loved so much and is very spoiled. He loves playing with our son Shane, and follows Shane everywhere, he even sleeps with Shane. Every morning when Shane gets up from school chief jumps all over Shane to wake him up and licks him all over. lol he loves playing out in the yard with us and loves playing ball. My sister just adopted a puppy from you guys on Saturday (Charlie Brown) the two pups had a great time playing together on Super bowl Sunday and got along very well, Chief can't wait for his next play date with Charlie Brown. chief loves going on car rides and is rarely left home alone. With our different schedules he is never home alone unless we have to go to the grocery store, and usually when that happens he goes in the Shane's bedroom and sits right by the guinea pigs cage till we get home. he loves those guinea pigs a lot. I will send pics to your facebook page as soon as I load them to the computer. Thanks for everything!
