Animal Success Stories

As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek!  Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes.  We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families.  If you’ve adopted a dog or cat from us, please share your story!  Success Stories and pictures can be sent to adoptions@asecondchancerescue.org.

Baby boy Clyde is the center of our world now, CANT IMAGINE not having him. lots of love to all the puppies and humans. Hi there, this is Charlie's "Mom" writing. We changed the name on him, you see. Thanks for writing, and thanks for all the work you do for all the animals! Me and my daughter went by Petco yesterday again and saw all the new dogs and cats that were there, I guess it's a never ending story, with more and more animals needing homes. Our dog is a darling with a LOT of energy. He loves everybody, both dogs and people, and thinks he knows them all, so of course he wants to say hello to them. We are planning to go to the puppy socialization meeting they have at Petco this weekend, and maybe there will be some of Charlie's siblings there. I am sure it will be lots of fun with which ever dogs we'll meet. They will probably understand his way of playing better than our cat... Anyways, we're all doing fine. Thanks for writing. / Monica Davani

Bellamia

Otis

Hi Ruth: This is such a coincidence, I was just telling a friend about A Second Chance this morning! Otis is the best dog, we love him so much! He is healthy, active and loves to play. He is also very smart and protective. Our family often talks about the way he came to us and how perfect he fit into our lives. Do you remember bringing me & my husband to your home to meet him? We tell that story to our daughters while Otis is curled in bed with them. We often wonder about his sisters, do you have any information about them or pictures that you could share? I've attached some pictures. Thank you again for introducing us to the best dog ever! Meredith

Pebbles
Pebbles

Even though Pebbles is an extremely cute name, we call her Zoey. She is doing very well. I called Barb and left a message on her progress. She went through some separation anxiety leaving her I'm sure, but has bonded to me (Marilyn) just fine. She goes to the dog beach in Jupiter every day. Not wanting to take the plunge in the ocean yet, but we're working on it. Every day just gets better and we love our little Potcake. We'll keep you posted on her progress any time. Best, Marilyn
