Animal Success Stories

As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek!  Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes.  We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families.  If you’ve adopted a dog or cat from us, please share your story!  Success Stories and pictures can be sent to adoptions@asecondchancerescue.org.

Ugenia

Hi Kathy, I got your emails regarding Ugenia (now known as Lily) & Utopia (now Daisy) – they are both doing great! They are very sweet, and have adjusted very well to our home. I can’t believe we have had them for over a month now, time has gone by so quickly! We really love them, and are so thankful to your organization for rescuing them.

Solomon

Thanks for checking up on Solomon (now known as Skiba), He's doing great in his new home and has adapted very well. He loves playing outside and especially sun bathing! His new family loves him very much and is excited to see him grow, golden retriever/bassett hound is an odd mix of breed to be able to predict even his size :) He's grown longer in the month he's been with us, but not necessarily taller. He's very well behaved especially with children and other dogs. Take a look at a picture I took at the beach! Thank you

Bleu-Belle

Hi Ruth, Little Bleu-Belle is doing fantastic and Sandra and I just love her to pieces. We named her Pepper which is both a reflection of her color and her personality. She is the smartest dog I have ever seen and sometimes I swear she is human...we are inseparable pals and as you can see from the picture she pretty much owns our house. What really surprised us was how well she traveled during two road trips to Dallas. She slept in the back seat and was perfect the whole way. All the southern people know immediately what kind of dog she is (nice little blue heeler you got there) but no one around here knows about Australian cattle dogs. The neighbors all love her and we visit them on our morning walks. She is gentle and sweet and just doesn't know how to be mean to other dogs or even cats. I could go on and on but Pepper just came in and wants to play frisbee which she is very good at and very much a fanatic. Hope you enjoy the picture and I am forever grateful for finding Pepper aka Bleu-Belle. Denny.
