Welcome to A Second Chance

As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek! Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes. We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families. Dear Kathy, Macie, aka Francy, is doing wonderful!!! She has integrated into our family very well. She has made great strides in her housetraining. She has learned to sit and we are working on other commands now. She believes she is a lap dog and loves to sit on any of our laps. She had no problem adjusting to be put in a crate at night and when we leave the house. Our cat has adjusted to Macie and they now play together. So as you can tell, we are truly enjoying her!!! The adoption process was good. We received prompt response to our inquiries, whether by phone or email. The only negative was that on the day we adopted her, we had to wait about 40 minutes to get the process going. They had two people working on the adoption process and they were already working with others. Besides that the process was great.
