Welcome to A Second Chance

As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek! Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes. We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families. Jamaica

Thank you for your email. We changed Jamaica's name to "Kylie Marie" but we usually just call her "Kylie." It means "beautiful" in Gaelic, but it also means "boomerang" in Australian (very fitting for her!) Attached is a photo - as you can probably tell, she is a typical, rambunctious puppy! She is VERY smart - already housebroken and she is learning not to bite or jump up. She loves to race around, and jump over, and slither under things, so we may enter her in some agility training when she gets bigger. Everyone loves her and she loves everyone! She is an all around treasure and we are thankful, this Thanksgiving, that A Second Chance was able to save her for us! Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! Diane and Gary Kilpatrick
