Welcome to A Second Chance

As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek! Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes. We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families. Yelena

It has been just a little over two months since I have adopted Yelena. I just wanted you to know how wonderful she is doing. When I adopted her she weighed 25 lbs, and today she weighs in at 46.1 lbs. As you can see by the picture I sent you she has it sooooo rough doesn't she?

She got so big so fast. I swear she just grows overnight. She ran by the back window out in the yard this morning and I barely reconized her. She has been such a good girl and she makes me laugh all the time with the little puppy things she does. She is still going on her 3 mile powerwalks with me, her new thing is going fishing with all our friends down on the intercoastal and the beach. She plays great with other dogs, she loves to play in the water with her waterballs and sticks. She is learning how to catch a frisbee, she knows McDonalds drive thru window (LOL) and she loves riding in the rag top jeep with her mommy. Oh yes, did I mention she loves to sleep between Mom and Dad at night too?

Anyway, I just wanted you to know that she is loved very, very, much and that we are all doing great. I hope all is well with you and I'll continue to keep in touch and send you an even bigger Yelena picture next time.
