Welcome to A Second Chance

As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek! Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes. We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families. Amaya

Hello We renamed Amaya Coco with Amaya as her second name to honor her wonderful foster mom Lisa. She is 14 weeks tomorrow and is doing wonderfully. She has been accepted as a "pack" member by her siblings Emma, Jake, and Poppie and is very pleased about that. She is in puppy kindergarten at Petsmart in Lake Park and is at the head of her class. (At least according to her mom and dad). She will receive her final shots on the 21st and is doing well on her trifexis. She has frequent play dates with her friend the Corgi named Ringo. All is well. Aside from piddle accidents she is just about crate trained. Thank you for all you do to save these beautiful animals. When my husband and I retire we hope to be foster parents too.
