Animal Success Stories

As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek!  Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes.  We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families.  If you’ve adopted a dog or cat from us, please share your story!  Success Stories and pictures can be sent to adoptions@asecondchancerescue.org.

Kesha

Hello, Kesha is doing great! We changed her name to Penny (because of her copper color) and she is the sweetest, happiest dog I've ever known. We have another Chihuahua and the two of them play until they wear themselves out. I feel so fortunate to have found such a great dog and am grateful she was so well taken care of by her foster family. Thanks again for what you all do! Basil Donato

Kokomo
Kokomo

Kokomo is doing great. We love her alot. Her foster mom should get alot of credit for raising a great puppy. Thank you Sue Smith

Kathryn "Katy" McLintock

(NOTE: Katy was adopted together with her sister Lady Madeline) Both Katy and Maddy are adjusting well. They have a huge yard to run around and play in and a family that loves them. I will send pics soon. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to care for these two beautiful dogs. The Morales Family

Kicker
Kicker

I was actually going to write something that you could post on your site under success stories, and give you a picture. We couldn't be happier with Kicker, who we have renamed Shula. He is almost four months old now, and he is just a typical happy puppy. He is into EVERYTHING, and has to be watched all the time to keep him out of trouble! He loves playing ball in the yard, tug of war with his toys, doing yard work with my husband, and torturing our cat, who just doesn't understand yet that he is just playing. He likes to play with my brother's full grown labs, and they treat him surprisingly gently, considering the size difference. He is doing pretty well at picking up the whole housebreaking thing, though he does have an accident here and there. But we love him no matter what. This is my second adoption through A Second Chance, and I think your organization is absolutely wonderful. I would recommend you to anyone looking to adopt an animal. I'm going to send some pictures soon so you can see how well he is doing.

Keller
Keller

Hello, Keller is doing great. He is our baby boy and gets along well with Soffie our maltese. He has a daily routine. He sleeps with us, gets up about 7 am likes to go out to potty. Comes back in and goes to get daddy up by fussing at the bed. He wont's my husband to feed him at the same time. He meets you at the door when you come home, goes for walks and loves to play and roll around with Soffie. Sometimes you would think he could see. He is a BLESSING in our life and family and friends. Thank you, for checking on him and given him life. I will try to send pictures soon. God Bless You..... Thank you, Kathy Pell
